I recently discovered an anomaly during Facebook login, if it can be called an “anomaly”. If a user logs in on a facebook application, his access token can be used by someone else to make graph API calls.
I thus experienced with it and created http://www.mauritius-news.xyz as well as http://www.britnews.info ( Same template but different sources for the feeds )
I have set a list of Facebook pages whose feeds are retrieved and used the same algorithm as Postexplorer.com to re-arrange the feeds.
I spent 2 nights at athena villas with my family. We booked the 4 bedrooms apartment via marideal.com for 9 persons @22,000. The price on marideal.com was lower than on booking.com, however the package on marideal could only be purchased by Mauritians.
I located the villa via Google Maps, and it was about 3mins drive from Grand-baie Super U. The location is not very close to the beach. The closest public beach is around 8mins drive.
When we arrived at our apartment at around 12pm, fruits and juice were placed in the kitchen.
Here are some pictures inside the apartment :
The breakfast served each morning was quite generous. We got a basket full of delicious pastries.
The negatives were that the TV sets were outdated and of poor quality. The TV in the master bedroom had no channels or was not configured. Else the pool was quite small, not adequate for swimmers, but only for relaxing. It can be heated. Unfortunately we got our heated pool the morning we left since the heating process stopped due to an electricity cut.
I used my DSLR to take take some shots of the villa at night :
We also got access to Evaco private beach during our stay. The beach is not in pereybere but in Trou aux Biches, which is about 10mins drive from the villa. Free transport is available as well. However for Mauritians it was unnecessary as we always have the opportunity to go to any beach. We only made a quick tour in our own car just to see the location and instead maximised our stay in the villa.
There Ferney trail was my second raid after Royal Raid 2016. Over one thousand people gathered at the departure point. If you wanted to compete, you had to go in front because it will would have been difficult to move ahead of the hundreds of runners in front due to congestion till midway.
At this point, everyone was walking because of congestion. There was also lots of steps so running was difficult. You had to wait even if you had the energy to run.
Lots of steps to climb.
Checkpoint ahead. Everyone had to wait before moving further. I waited for 5mins. Some of my friends waited for 10mins. I met some friends who are regular trailers but were also stuck in the queue. There was only 1 guy who was writing down the numbers of all participants and he had thousands to note. This was clearly a bad management and everyone was complaining about it.
People arriving at the checkpoint. The slope was quite difficult.
First glimpse of the sea from the mountains
When it was getting very hard..
Downhill was difficult as well. It was quite steepy. The landscape was magnificent but couldn’t appreciate it during the race.
Not the finish point, but there was still some 200metres to go. You would also find kids running the 4km race at the end.
La cave madam is found in the east of Mauritius, at Roche noir. The access is easy, it is just beside the main road and parking is available. Once you reach there, you will need to go down the steps. Warning : It is quite smelly!
Note that it is very dark inside. The photo above has been shot with a DLSR using a tripod and an exposure of a few seconds. It will be difficult to observe the rich colors of the rock with only the low natural light.
